In 2008, computational biologists Eric Althoff, David Baker, Daniela Grabs and Alexandre Zanghellini published two seminal papers in the elite journals Science and Nature that revolutionized computational enzyme design and synthesis.  With the aim of implementing their pioneering work towards agricultural and biotechnology applications, the team of scientists laid the groundwork for Arzeda Corporation with preliminary operations at the University of Washington Center for Commercialization (C4C).

Arzeda headquarters are currently located in Seattle, WA.  With the help of a talented and dedicated network of researchers, advisors and collaborators, the founding team hopes to continue developing novel and transformative uses for naturally fermented proteins and enzymes at the forefront of commercial biotechnology, industry and environmental challenges.
